Testimonials for Peter Finch PGA Golf Coach

Lesson Testimonial  - John Potter - 28 Handicap Golfer

"Having lessons with Pete really set me off on the right track. I'd never taken lessons before and was very nervous but Pete put me at ease straight away and explained everything simply, before I knew it the ball was flying through the air like never before."

Lesson Testimonial - Tom Ferriday - 2 Handicap Golfer

"I started taking lessons with Pete when I was a junior and playing off 36. Now eight years later I'm down to 2 and have just won my second club championship in a row. Pete was always very honest with me and made sure I worked hard on my game, he's a great coach and helped me reach my goals."

Lesson Testimonial - Christopher French - 12 Handicap

"I'm not a very technical golfer and dreaded having a golf lesson in case I became bamboozled by what the pro said. Pete's lessons are so direct and I saw instant improvement; I'm finally heading in the right direction in my quest to reach a single figure handicap."

Lesson Testimonial - Josh Charnock - Professional

"I progressed from beginner to professional golfer in seven years with Pete. He helped me turn professional and I'm now going through my own PGA qualification. I would recommend anyone to have a lesson with him."

Lesson Testimonial - Wes Haydock - 19 Handicap

You've asked how I'm doing so here goes - its much better, in fact its good. Haven't shanked anything.  I scored 22 points last week in a 9 hole stableford (with friends), then on Saturday I won the December medal Div 2 with a score of 32 (9 hole competition) - including a 7 and a 6!
Today we played 18 holes, with friends, and I scored 81, including a 7 at the last.  My chipping in the medal comp was, for my standards anyway, impeccable.   I've never played as consistently well.  I felt disappointed when I didn't get a par.

Lesson Testimonial - Gary Chadwick - 12

"I think it's fair to say that in the 3yrs I have been having lessons the transition is the move I have struggled with most. However, following the last lesson I do believe that I am getting a better feel for starting the down swing without the shoulder and arms. So much so that playing partners have remarked on a smooth swing giving good distance but more importantly great accuracy. I have never had a period of play with so many pars and the odd birdie and am concentrating on trying to sequence consistently and getting it into my swing DNA."

Lesson Testimonial - Martyn Owen - New Golfer

Just a quick email to let you know how I got on at the range tonight.
Took me a while to get into the groove but I was soon hitting draws!! Yes draws.  I've never hit one before in my life but I hit a few on the bounce.
I concentrated on relaxing my grip (as I usually grip really tight) and just let my hands release more naturally.
I feel more relaxed hitting balls than I've ever done.  Looser grip, not trying to hit it as hard and the ball goes further.
I'm excited to go and practice again! So thanks for your help and patience.  I'll try to keep it going and hopefully take that game out to the course.

Lesson Testimonial - Phil Daniels - 21 Handicap

Hi Peter, what a result I had at Caldy! Winner of my division playing off 21 scoring 38 points stableford, which was also the overall winning score except I was beaten on card play off. If only I hadn't had those two 1 pointers! Sooooo close, thanks for all the tips and advice. Things seem to be coming together nicely.

Lesson Testimonial - Nigel Marsden - 23 Handicap (after his first comp at his new club)

Consistently hitting good shots for me which is a massive improvement. Definitely feel better and confident we will hit our target!
Nothing like pressure to add to it though.. Stood on the first with a starter, couple of the committee and a load of members on the practice green.. All goes quiet when Nige steps up.. Boomed it down the middle!!

Lesson Testimonial - Grant Taylor - 28 Handicap

Just a quick note to let you know my weekend in Shrewsbury went well.
6 of us played 3 rounds of Stableford over 3 days and I ended up with a total of 100 points, the best score. Each round improved scoring 30, 34 then 36 points respectively. I am now the proud owner of my first piece of silverware in a long time and wanted to say thanks for all your encouragement and guidance.

Lesson Testimonial - Graham Smyth - 21 Handicap
Hi Peter.  I managed to win professional's day at Skipton yesterday with 43 points. Handicap has already dropped by 7 since I started the lessons and i can still easily get around under the current 21! Much appreciated!

Lesson Testimonial - Simon McGrath - 9 Handicap

Just to let you know my handicap has come down from 12.5 to 9.1 So that's good! Just need the board comp now, thanks for your help.
